To successfully acquire pizza from West Of Chicago, you have to order and pay for it online, roll up to a random door on the side of a building, text a phone number, and wait for someone to come out with your order. It’s kind of like buying an elliptical machine from somebody on Craigslist - it’s not worth the awkwardness that comes with getting it. The crust is made of cornmeal, which reminds us more of lemon meringue pie crust than pizza crust, the toppings are forgettable, and the sauce isn’t much of a sauce at all - it’s more like briefly cooked diced tomatoes with a lot of sweetness. We’re not running around telling our friends about it. Our advice: get your Chicago-style at Windy City Pie instead.
