Going to Shaker + Spear is like eating inside a Crate & Barrel (in a good way). Besides the highly attractive space, the seafood is great, and the very well-dressed staff is also super friendly. Gather your people, reserve the large round table for eight, and order some parmesan truffle fries, charred brussels sprouts, prawns with old bay butter, and bruleed mac and cheese (as in creme brulee in cheese form). When you’re done, keep the party going with cocktails at Pennyroyal next door, or at Clever Bottle two blocks down. Or both.
