There’s always a wait for the patio at Little Water Cantina, a popular Mexican spot in Eastlake with a great view of Lake Union. But we say you should stick it out - at the end of the road is access to that aforementioned view and some excellent palomas. (If watermelon margaritas are in season, you’re going to want some of those, too.) Food-wise, stick with the guacamole and queso with chorizo - skip the tacos.

San Fermo is a charming Italian restaurant in an old house where an indie rom-com would take place. Use it for a first date in Ballard.
Ray’s doesn’t have the best seafood in Seattle (or even Ballard), but when the sun comes out, the patio here is where you want to be.
