The Mana'eesh Lady
Where we've featured it
“Whenever I’ve stared at my computer for what feels like 38 hours straight, I sometimes think about the flatbreads from The Mana’eesh Lady - which unfailingly perks me up while giving me something delicious to look forward to on weekends. They operate out of The Libertine on Grand Ave every Saturday, and feature thick, chewy za’atar-covered flatbreads topped with things like goat cheese, squash blossoms, and more. They also have great dips, desserts, and falafel nachos. And if the labneh or jalapeño-garlic tahini are on the menu, order some immediately. Check their Instagram for hours and updates.” - JC

For fluffy, za’atar-covered mana’eesh, labneh, or jalapeño-garlic tahini, order from The Mana’eesh Lady, a Palestinian pop-up from the head chef of Dyafa. She’s currently popping up at The Libertine in Oakland on Saturdays - check Instagram for the weekly menu.
The Mana’eesh Lady is a Palestinian pop-up in Oakland that makes incredible flatbreads, dips, and pastries. And the baked za’atar mana’eesh, creamy, sumac-dusted hummus, and jalapeño-garlic labneh make regular appearances in my daydreams. After getting shut down in August, the pop-up is only taking pre-orders for pick-up during a 30-minute window on Fridays. Check her Instagram for the link.
