House of Thai is on the edge of Union Square and the Tendernob, and is a solid option worth going a few seconds out of your way for to get lunch on a weekday. The fried chicken is good, but you should get the Gang Jerd Woon-Sen soup with ground pork, tofu, and silver noodles. Be careful though, the soup comes out so hot that you might think it’ll melt the spoon.
