You’re probably not gathering with all of your loved ones this holiday season, but that doesn’t mean you have to settle for eating a bowl of cereal, alone, while you listen to the Pentatonix cover of “Hallelujah” on 96.5 KOIT. Instead, order from one of the many spots across SF. They’re offering holiday specials for Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Year’s, so you can at least celebrate the season with some excellent food - and support local restaurants at the same time. So, whether you’re looking for sufganiyot with Kinder Bueno or a three-course prime rib dinner, these 20 spots have you covered.
THE SPOTS
For a Christmas prime rib dinner that serves two, order from Abrazo. The meal is $125 and includes roasted prime rib, mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, rolls, salad, and pecan pie. Call 415-872-9239 by Dec. 18th to order for pickup on the 24th or 25th.
Yvonne's Southern Sweets
In addition to their regular menu (where you can find pecan and pumpkin pies, 7up cake, and German chocolate cake), the bakery in Bayview has sugar cookies available for Christmas. The deadline to pre-order for pickup is Dec. 16th - call 415-368-7900 to order.
The Hanukkah menu at Wise Sons has everything from latkes to brisket to sufganiyot, available a la carte or as a meal for four. From Dec. 9th-18th you can pick up your order from any of their SF or Oakland locations, or have it delivered. Place pre-orders at least 24 hours in advance.
The Filipino and Japanese pop-up has a “Holiday At Home” dinner available for pickup and delivery on Dec. 23rd. It’s $50 per person and comes with lechon liempo, ika meshi adobo, roasted brussels sprouts, and more. To get it, you’ll need to order here by Dec. 21st.
Frena Bakery And Cafe
Frena Bakery in SoMa is making sufganiyot topped with things like Kinder Bueno, halva and chocolate, and bubble gum. The specialty donuts are available in a dealers’ choice-style mixed box of a half dozen or a dozen (no requests). Frena also has rugelach, latkes, and challah. To pick some up, place an order here, or track down their traveling van, which stops in cities around the Bay.
The Guamanian restaurant’s holiday meal kit ($110, feeds two) is available through December and comes with a bone-in braised short rib, fina’denne’, fried long beans, and more. You can order here for pickup or delivery in SF. They’re also delivering to the East Bay and Peninsula on Fridays.
Pizzeria Delfina is selling packs of frozen latkes, along with pear-quince butter and their house-made creme fraiche (which is an “upgrade” from sour cream, according to their menu). Order online for pickup at their Mission or Pacific Heights locations through Dec. 12th.
Pinoy Heritage
With everything from smoked prime rib bistek and grilled pork belly steamed buns to seafood pancit and puto bumbong, the Filipino pop-up’s Noche Buena feast sounds like a crowd pleaser, even if the crowd is just you and your dog. The meal is $60 per person, and you should place an order here by Dec. 21st for pickup on the 23rd or 24th.
Lord Jiu's
The collab between Lord Stanley and Mister Jiu’s is back with a Hanukkah meal kit, available for pickup on Dec. 11th and 12th. For $100 per person, you’ll get a five-course dinner that includes matzo ball soup, soy braised brisket, and cured rainbow trout. Order here.

The pie-focused pop-up is offering a $55 holiday tin filled with six different kinds of cookies, from chewy ginger yuzu snaps to chamomile cornmeal cookies. Order here for pickup or shipping.
For the holidays, Nopalito is offering pozole, butternut squash and turkey tamales, a seasonal fruit punch, and Mexican hot chocolate, all of which you can reheat at home. Order here for pickup Dec. 21st-23rd from their Broderick location only.
The Marina karaoke bar has a three-course dinner for pickup on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve. If herb-crusted prime rib and bread pudding sound like an ideal festive meal, call 415-922-1977 to order. The meal costs between $40-325 depending on how many people you’re serving (it can feed up to eight).
Bi-Rite is a one-stop shop for all of your holiday needs. For Hanukkah, you can order brisket, latkes, and rugelach for pickup and local delivery from Dec. 9th-18th. And for Christmas, they have ham kits, sides, and Bûche de Noël from Dec. 22nd-24th. And if you want to go all in on sweets this year, their holiday specialties collection has a ton of treats, including cookie decorating kits, peppermint bark, and gingerbread.
The holiday menu from the Marina steakhouse covers everything from prime rib to batched cocktails to boozy cakes for four to twelve people. Check their site for instructions on how to order, and note that all orders must be placed 72 hours in advance.
For Hanukkah, the Hayes Valley brasserie is serving a brisket dinner kit ($75 per person), complete with challah, matzo ball soup, latkes, and creme fraiche and pomegranate ice cream. They also have holiday cookie tins. Order here for takeout and delivery between Dec. 10th-20th.
PPQ Dungeness Island
The Vietnamese seafood spot in the Richmond is open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and they’re also taking pre-orders for lobster and crab dinner sets, which feed two to ten people. Call them at 415-386-8266 to place a pre-order for pickup.
Arepas en Bici
If you want to celebrate the holidays with a cook-at-home cioppino kit, order from this Fisherman’s Wharf seafood restaurant. Scoma’s also has oysters, eggnog, and cocktails. Pre-order here for pickup between Dec. 11th-23rd.
The long-awaited end to the dumpster fire year from hell is almost here. And if you want to ring in 2021 by slurping oysters on your couch, order Sorrel’s New Year’s Eve dinner - it feeds two ($350) or four ($650), and comes with caviar, dry-aged duck, a Yule log, and more. Pre-order your celebratory meal here for pickup up on Dec. 30th or 31st.
