Tom and Jerry’s is just above Soho, but it isn’t anything fancy. It’s a neighborhood bar, it’s cash only, and you won’t see too many tourists her. Order at the bar and find a table where you can hang out with a few friends. If you’re walking around Soho, and you’re looking for a more-or-less normal bar with a little bit of character, go here.

Gato, Bobby Flay’s Mediterranean spot in Noho, isn’t quite as good as it was when it opened, but it’s still a useful option in certain situations.
The Jones is in the tiny Noho space that used to house Great Jones Cafe. It’s a great spot for breakfast or a few seafood-focused small plates.
There’s a constant wait at Fish Cheeks for a reason. This Noho spot makes some of the best Thai food in the city, including an excellent crab curry.
