Does every great beer bar need to have brick walls, long banquettes, and a friendly bartender with an Irish accent? No, but it helps. And that’s what you’ll find at The Beerkeeper in Woodside. We can’t actually guarantee your bartender will be Irish (the employee schedule is not publicly available), but we can promise good beers on draft. And if you want to watch sports, there are plenty of TVs here. Try this place for a casual drink with a couple of friends, or bring a date and sit at a table in the back.

Salt & Fat
We wanted to love Sunnyside's Salt & Fat more than we actually did. Every dish on the menu reads like a carnivore’s delight, and while some items are incredible, others completely miss the mark.
Astoria Seafood is a seafood market and restaurant where you pick your fish and tell them how you’d like it cooked.
Trattoria L’icontro is not only awesome, but worthy of a trip to Astoria with a group of your friends. Everything about the space is thoroughly cheesy and overstated, but that’s kind of the whole point. No gimmicks, just really good Italian food and really nice people.
