There isn’t a lot of barbecue on the Lower East Side - but there is Randall’s. It’s a counter-service spot on Grand Street with a variety of things like fried ribs, buffalo wings, and smoked chopped liver. As for the barbecue itself, you'll find brisket, duck, turkey, and a few other options - all of which are pretty solid. We particularly like the sandwiches that they make on bialys from Kossar’s (right next door), and you should get the “Randall’s style” one with pastrami and chopped liver. It’s pricey, but worth it. And if you want a drink to go along with your sandwich, there’s a full bar.

Russ & Daughters Cafe
Russ & Daughters has finally expanded, after 100 years in business. Now you can sit down in a comfy booth while you enjoy your lox, and it’s glorious.
Minnie’s is a casual little spot on the LES where you can stop by for a burger or a farro salad without a reservation on a Friday night.
Speedy Romeo LES
A smaller, very casual Lower East Side outpost of Brooklyn’s Speedy Romeo. They may be known for pizza, but that’s not the best thing here.
