Peacefood is one our favorite vegan spots in town. There’s faux chicken and something called “tahini sprouts” on the menu, but there are also items with much more crowd-pleasing power. We like the fluffy avocado salad, chickpea fries (get them with agave and hot sauce on the side), and the nachos. To be clear, Peacefood isn’t necessarily healthy (especially if you get the vanilla cake, which you should), but it’s a good substitute when you’re sick of your usual sandwich and sushi rotation. Come for lunch or an early dinner, or get something to-go from the counter up front.
