A coworker of ours told us that Orwashers was her favorite bakery in NYC, and we now trust this coworker to do things like babysit children, pay back loans, or pardon a turkey. Orwashers specializes in Jewish pastries and cookies, including rugelach dipped in chocolate and appropriately soft black and white cookies. But they also make one of the flakiest almond croissants you can eat in this city.
