Le Jardinier is on the ground floor of a luxury apartment building in Midtown East, and if you live upstairs, then you might find it to be a useful place. Otherwise, the sterile space feels like a pop-up in a hotel lobby. The seasonal, vegetable-focused menu is generally light and enjoyable, and if you do live in this very nice building, you might not mind paying $19 for a slice of zucchini topped with a couple mushrooms, or $23 for two attractively plated, very normal scallops. For the rest of us, there are better places to spend this kind of money in Midtown East, including The Grill across the street, or Agern for similarly light, but more interesting seasonal dishes.

Bobo is "Perfect For" Girls Night Out, and has an amazing outdoor area, but the food is underwhelming. Also, wait 'til you find out how they came up with the name. Come on.
Cafe Paulette is a French bistro where you can drink natural wine across the street from Fort Greene Park.
