For beach-shack/living-room vibes and a big selection of Mediterranean/American/Tex-Mex bar food (the breakfast tacos are actually pretty good), check out Forgtmenot. It’s on the lower (and cooler) part of the Lower East Side and they’re missing an “e” in their name, so you know you should be drinking here. The space is small and casual, and it’s right next to its sister restaurant, Kiki’s.

Clinton St. Baking Company

Hou Yi Hot Pot
Hou Yi is a little hot pot place on the Chinatown/LES border with all-you-can-eat food and a scoop-it-yourself ice cream station.
