Flattopps makes no sense. Our brains can barely handle this place, and we don’t know how it exists. But it does. And if you want a burger with Captain-Crunch-crusted-bacon and French toast for buns, you can get one here. That burger is called the “Gucci Mane,” and it could be the least healthy thing we’ve ever eaten. It’s also comforting in a weird way. Like if a dog came up to you and asked you how your day was. Strange and dreamlike, but also kind of nice. That said, this place doesn’t make the best burgers in NYC. It does, however, make the most original ones. The Gucci Mane is only the beginning.

"NO MENUS. JUST FISH" is pretty much everything you need to know about this Astoria restaurant.
Trattoria L’icontro is not only awesome, but worthy of a trip to Astoria with a group of your friends. Everything about the space is thoroughly cheesy and overstated, but that’s kind of the whole point. No gimmicks, just really good Italian food and really nice people.

I once saw a man at Shake Shack, dressed in a suit and setting a formal table. On the small metal table he placed a white tablecloth, fine silverware, a candle, and some flowers. For a moment, I was overcome with joy at the beautiful event that was about to unfold before me...this man was about to propose to a burger.
JG Melon is an Upper East Side burger institution. It's also the best and cheapest thing you can hit for lunch after the Met.
J.G. Melon Downtown
A new J.G. Melon in Greenwich Village, with new owners but the same great burger. MacDougal Street just got instantly better.
