A&A Bake & Doubles is a Trinidadian counter-service spot, and it’s a Bed-Stuy institution. It used to be a tiny cash-only place - but now it’s in a bigger space, and they also take cards. So stop by for a quick breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Grab a fry bake or a roti packed with potatoes and chunks of goat, and don’t forget to add at least one doubles to your order. With their fluffy, delicate bara and well-seasoned chana, they’re some of our favorite things to eat in the neighborhood. They should also be consumed immediately for maximum effect, so eat one at a table up front, even if you’re taking everything to go.
