Since the start of the pandemic, the thing we’ve been asked the most is which restaurants have outdoor seating. So, we made this guide. It has a whole bunch of options broken up by neighborhood.

Ariete is an outstanding Coconut Grove restaurant open for dinner and weekend brunch. Make a reservation to ensure you get an outdoor table.

Atchana’s Homegrown Thai

The Coconut Grove Thai spot has some tables set up outside on the sidewalk. Reservations aren’t required.

Glass and Vine

Glass and Vine in Coconut Grove has a lot of outdoor seating on its back patio, which has a view of Peacock Park. Reservations are available online and the menu has things like watermelon salad, ceviche, and steak frites.

Kush by Spillover

Most of the seating at Kush by Spillover, a seafood and burger spot, is outside. They do a great brunch here too.

The great burger spot has some tables set up outside. They’re very dog-friendly too.

The vegan dim sum spot doesn’t have a ton of outdoor seating, but there are a couple tables on the sidewalk.

Monty’s Raw Bar

The classic grove seafood spot is almost entirely outdoors, though this place does get pretty crowded on the weekends.

Taurus

The bar and restaurant has a decent amount of outdoor seating, as well as some of the best bar food in town. Reservations aren’t required.

Tigertail & Mary

Tigertail has a lot of outdoor seating set up in their courtyard. Making a reservation for the American restaurant isn’t a bad idea, especially if you’re trying to go on the weekend.

Monty’s Raw Bar

Monty’s is back open with a lot of outdoor seating, oysters, and frozen drinks. Reservations for the Coconut Grove seafood spot are recommended but not required. Happy Hour is Mon-Fri from 4-7pm.

Kush by Spillover

$$$$ 2911 Grand Ave Ste 400D

Spillover has temporarily switched concepts to become “Kush by Spillover.” The Grove restaurant is now essentially doing an impression of its sister spot in Wynwood, with burgers, beer, cocktails, and outdoor seating. They have Happy Hour too, Mon-Fri from 5 to 7pm.

Taurus

The recently rebranded Grove bar (which now goes by The Taurus) has outdoor seating and a new menu with a duck quesadilla, frita, pastrami sandwich, and burgers. You can make a reservation by calling (786) 615-3747.

Coral Gables

Bay 13

Bay 13 is a Coral Gables brewery and restaurant. There’s a lot of outdoor seating, beer (obviously), and a food menu with things like smoked fish dip, sausages, and meat pies.

Redfish by Chef Adrianne

$$$$ 9610 Old Cutler Rd

Redfish is a waterfront restaurant located inside Matheson Hammock Park. There’s a big outdoor patio with just over 100 seats and a very big menu too, with mostly seafood with some other things like fried chicken and steaks. You can make a reservation online.

Titanic Restaurant & Brewery

Titanic Brewery in Coral Gables has set up some shaded picnic benches in the green space behind Titanic. Reservations aren’t required.

E&P Dmplngs

E&P Dmplngs is a dumpling pop-up operating out of Threefold Cafe in Coral Gables. They have outdoor seating, great dumplings, and you can make a reservation online.

The Brickell sports bar/restaurant has seating available on its waterfront patio and you can make a reservation on their website.

There’s not a ton of outdoor seating at the Brickell seafood spot, but there are a few tables outside, as long as you’re cool with the pedestrian traffic.

The classic seafood spot on the Miami River is open, and they’ve got waterfront tables on their back patio. Reservations are suggested. Make one by calling them at (786) 452-0161.

The Peruvian restaurant on Brickell Key is open for dine-in, serving dinner Wednesday through Sunday. Reservations are required, especially if you want a waterfront table outside. You can make your reservation online.

Over Under

The bar and restaurant Over Under has taken over the sidewalk and street parking outside its doors, and converted it all into a handful of outdoor tables. They aren’t taking reservations at the moment.

Quinto La Huella

Quinto La Huella is a big Uruguayan restaurant in the Brickell City Centre. They have a lot of outdoor seating and are taking reservations online.

The River Oyster Bar

River Oyster Bar’s new location has some outdoor seating. It’s a popular spot, so a reservation is probably a good idea.

The casual Greek restaurant Meraki has outdoor tables (and so does their Coconut Grove location). Reservations aren’t required, but you can make one just to be safe by calling (786) 773-1535.

Rosie’s

Overtown’s Rosie’s has outdoor seating and serves some of the best food in Miami - a mix of Southern breakfast staples and pasta. Stop by for an excellent weekend brunch.

Rusty Pelican

Rusty Pelican in Key Biscayne is open daily for dinner and for weekend brunch. They have outdoor seating with a waterfront view and reservations are strongly encouraged. Book a table online.

Verde at Pérez Art Museum Miami

Verde is a restaurant in the back of the PAMM with outdoor seating and a great waterfront view.

Whiskey Joe's

Key Biscayne’s Whiskey Joe’s is open Wed-Sun. Reservations aren’t necessary at the waterfront seafood restaurant. You can also arrive by boat because the marina next door is open.

Boia De has a small amount of outdoor seating. Reservations are definitely required for the tiny (and delicious) Italian restaurant. You can make one online.

The Citadel

The big food hall has some benches outside and a rooftop that’s currently open. You can make a reservation for the rooftop online.

Hachidori Ramen

Hachidori is a ramen spot that also serves some other Japanese dishes. They have outdoor tables on the sidewalk.

Heartland

Heartland is an outdoor restaurant in Little Haiti with a lot of tables spread out in a big lot. The menu includes things like steak, fish, and wine. There’s also live music. Check out our ride-along to see more.

Ironside Kitchen Pizza & Coffee Co

Ironside is open for dine-in service with patio seating. The Little River Italian restaurant is mostly outdoors and accepts reservations. You can book one online or call them at (305) 531-5055.

Tran An

Doce Provisions

The Little Havana spot has tables on its back patio. Their menu includes things like croquettes, fried chicken and waffles, and arroz imperial. You can make a reservation by calling (786) 452-0161, but walk-ins are welcome too.

La Camaronera Fish Market

La Camaronera has set up a tent in their parking lot. The small dining area has some fans too, in case you’re worried about sweating on your pan con minuta. Reservations aren’t available.

Lung Yai Thai Tapas

The very good Thai restaurant has set up a handful of outdoor tables on the sidewalk. The hours are Tue-Sat from noon-3pm and Sunday from 4-10pm. They’re also accepting takeout orders online.

Taquerias El Mexicano

Taquerias El Mexicano has opened its back patio daily until 10pm. There are picnic tables, big umbrellas, and their full food and cocktail menu. Reservations aren’t required.

Versailles

Versailles has put up a tent in their parking lot (complete with chandeliers) and are offering socially distanced service. They aren’t accepting reservations at the moment.

Andiamo in MiMo is open for dine-in. Pretty much all of the tables at this pizzeria are outdoors (and covered, in case it rains).

Blue Collar

Blue Collar has set up new picnic benches in the courtyard to expand their number of outdoor tables. You can make a reservation online but walk-ins are also welcome.

Cafe Kush

The newest restaurant from Kush Hospitality has some outdoor seating, including some waterfront seating. Stop by for burgers, cocktails, fried frog legs, and more.

Phuc Yea

MiMo’s Phuc Yea is open for dine-in and has tables available on their front porch and in their backyard patio. The Vietnamese/Cajun spot recommends reservations. Make one via their website.

Baia Beach Club

Baia Beach Club is an outdoor restaurant and lounge in the Mondrian South Beach. You can make a reservation online.

The Bazaar by José Andrés

The upscale restaurant inside the SLS South Beach is offering patio seating. You’ll want to make a reservation though, and you can do that by calling (305) 455-2999.

Bebito’s Cafe

$$$$ 1504 Bay Rd

Bebitos is a South Beach cafe serving breakfast, lunch, and coffee. They have lots of egg dishes, bowls, sandwiches, and outdoor seating. The current hours are daily from 8am-4pm, and reservations aren’t required.

Bodega Taqueria y Tequila

The South Beach taco spot has set up some additional shaded picnic benches outside the shop, where you can eat your tacos and sip a frozen margarita. Reservations aren’t required.

Broken Shaker

Miami Beach’s Broken Shaker and their sister restaurant 27 are open and doing weekend brunch again too. Grab a reservation online.

Casa Isola

Casa Isola is an Italian restaurant from the Pubbelly team. It’s located right next door to Pubbelly in Sunset Harbour, and they have a handful of outdoor tables. You can make a reservation online.

Diya is a vegetarian Indian restaurant in Sunset Harbour. They have outdoor seating and serve things like cheese dosas, a crispy eggplant burger, and “naanwiches.”

Josh's Deli

The Surfside deli has set up a little outdoor dining area outside their restaurant. Reservations aren’t required and the outdoor seating is covered in case it rains. They’re also still offering takeout as well.

Lucali

Lucali in Sunset Harbour has set up tables outside the restaurant. They still aren’t taking reservations, but takeout is an option here as well in case there’s a wait.

Macchialina

Macchialina is back open for outdoor dining. The excellent Italian restaurant has taken over the patio next door and now has covered seating. Reservations are probably a good idea, and you can make yours online.

Matador Room

The restaurant inside the Edition in Mid-Beach is back open for dine-in. Reservations are required and can be made online. They have a decent amount of outdoor seating scattered around the hotel pool.

Orilla Bar & Grill

The South of Fifth Argentinian spot Orilla is open and has covered patio seating. Orilla is accepting reservations online.

Michael Pissari

Osteria Morini

Osteria Morini is an Italian restaurant on Alton Road with outdoor seating along a little canal. You can make a reservation online.

Planta

The plant-based restaurant in South of Fifth is open with patio seating. They’ve got vegan burgers and sushi, amongst other things, and reservations are available online

Prime 112

$$$$ 101 Ocean Dr

South of Fifth’s Prime 112 is open and has outdoor seating. The upscale steakhouse has its full menu available, and reservations can be made by calling (305) 532-8112.

Pubbelly Sushi

$$$$ 1424 20th St

Pubbelly is open with outdoor dining. You can make a reservation for the Sunset Harbour spot online.

Silverlake Bistro

$$$$
$$$$ 1211 71st St

Silverlake is a great little neighborhood restaurant serving classic American bistro dishes. They have some sidewalk tables outside.

Taquiza

$$$$ 1351 Collins Ave

Taquiza has opened its North Beach location for outdoor dining. They have patio tables and will be switching to more of a fast-casual system for the time being, where you order at the counter. Reservations aren’t necessary.

Yardbird Southern Table & Bar

The fried chicken restaurant just off Lincoln Road has sidewalk seating, and is still serving weekend brunch too. You can make a reservation online.

Amara is a seafood spot with a fantastic waterfront view. Most of the seating is outside anyway and you can make reservations online.

The Butcher Shop

The Wynwood beer garden and restaurant Butcher Shop is open with outdoor seating. They’ve got cocktails, beer, sausages, burgers, and reservations aren’t required.

Coyo Taco

Several Coyo Taco locations in Miami are open for dine-in service and all of them have at least a few outdoor tables. The Brickell, Wynwood, and Coral Gables locations are all open and you do not need a reservation.

Freehold has a nice little courtyard with outdoor seating, a massive disco ball, and a DJ. They have good pizza and other small plates to share before a night out. Make a reservation online.

Grails Sports Bar

Itamae is an outstanding Nikkei restaurant in the Design District. They have outdoor seating, natural wine, and some of the best Peruvian food in Miami.

Kush

Kush has expanded its outdoor seating and has some tables and picnic benches along the sidewalk. Stop by (if it’s not raining) for some burgers and beer. Reservations aren’t required.

Kyu

Under normal circumstances, KYU is entirely indoors. But they’ve recently converted some street parking into a handful of outdoor tables. The capacity is limited, so make a reservation online.

Lagniappe

The wine bar has a lot of tables outside and also serves a few entrees like steak and salmon. Reservations are not available.

Le Chick

Leku

This Basque restaurant is inside Allapattah’s Rubell Museum. The menu includes things like Iberico ham croquets and paella, and they have outdoor seating.

Mandolin Aegean Bistro

Mandolin is open and you’ll probably need a reservation to eat here. Make one online or by calling (305) 749-9140.

Michael's Genuine

The Design District spot Michael’s Genuine has covered outdoor tables and you will probably need a reservation. Get one by calling (305) 573-5550 or booking online.

Momosan Wynwood

Momosan is a Japanese restaurant in Wynwood with outdoor seating where the street parking used to be. The main attraction here is ramen, but they also have dishes like gyoza, sushi, poke, and bao buns.

Palmar

Wynwood’s Palmar has some outdoor tables set up. They’re currently offering tasting menus. Make a reservation online.

Three

The Wynwood restaurant Three has merged with its rooftop lounge. Now it’s serving brunch and dinner from the outdoor space just above the dining room. You can make a reservation online.

Uchi Miami

Uchi is an upscale sushi restaurant that has some patio seating. You’ll most likely need a reservation to eat here, and you can make one online.

Via Emilia Garden

The Midtown Italian restaurant is open and has a backyard with a handful of tables.

Vista Restaurant

Located within the Upper Buena Vista outdoor shopping complex, Vista has a decent amount of outdoor seating as well as some rooftop tables. Reservations are available on their website.

Zak The Baker

The popular Wynwood bakery has set up a decent amount of outdoor seating, and it’s all covered by palm fronds.
