As you could probably guess from the name, this Downtown LA spot specializes in made-to-order sushi hand rolls. It’s an unabashed imitator of KazuNori, the hand roll bar with locations in Mid-Wilshire, DTLA, Westwood, and Santa Monica. The problem is, it’s just not the same - the prices are higher while the quality of fish is lower. That being said, it’s a totally fine place for lunch or a quick meal when you have a meeting Downtown - be sure to get the lobster roll (which comes in the five-roll omakase) and the bay scallop (which doesn’t). If you’re really hungry, the o-toro tartare with truffle yuzu ponzu sauce is a great way to start the meal.
