Menya Musashi is the first LA location of a big-deal Tokyo noodle shop, and it looks like any other ramen place on Sawtelle - some bar seats, a few tables, and a patio. But the tsukemen (dip ramen) they serve here is what stands out. Order it niten ichiryu style, and the noodles will come topped with pork belly, thin pork katsu, and a runny soft-boiled egg. The meat here is tender and the broth is thick, but not fatty or overpowering, like other soups we’ve tried nearby.
