The pizza at Lupetti is fine. You don’t need to be traveling across town for it, but if you’re in the Arts District and hungry and don’t feel like dealing with a full sit-down situation, their by-the-slice pizza (get the margherita) will do the job. The reason you do need to travel across town to this order-at-the-counter spot is the chicken parm sandwich. This beauty is perfectly balanced with the exact right ratio of cheese to marinara sauce, crunchy bread that still soaks up all the sauce, and a breaded chicken breast that melts in your mouth. There’s also a great front patio to enjoy it in.
