Wright Brothers is our favourite spot to perch with a beer and a pint of prawns, because it feels like you’re in Borough market without having to actually deal with the craziness of the market itself. It overlooks the stalls and specialises in seafood, so you can get everything from a snack to a full-blown seafood tower if you’ve had a bit too much too drink / have lost a bet. Sitting here in the sunshine with a cold tipple is a quintessentially London experience and perhaps the one thing we’d unequivocally travel to Borough for.

The Breakfast Club London Bridge
The Breakfast Club, unsurprisingly, does excellent all-day breakfasts.
Tas Restaurant Borough
Tas has been cooking some of the most reliably good Turkish food in London Bridge for ages.
Bao Borough is the third outpost of London’s most famous Taiwanese restaurant. The buns are still good, but the smaller plates are even better.
More Seafood spotsSee more
Sweetings is a classic spot in the City serving seafood lunch and dollops of nostalgia to suited business types.
Kerbisher & Malt
Kerbisher & Malt isn’t your granddad's chippy, but this modern Shepherd's Bush chip shop is very good.
Wright Brothers Spitalfields
You can get a shellfish tower or a posh seafood dinner at Wright Brothers Spitalfields. Or, you can get oysters for a quid a pop, 3-6pm every day.
