Shackfuyu is a modern, trendy Japanese-Korean spot by the people who popularised the ramen thing in London with their restaurant Bone Daddies. and it’s perfect for a casual midweek dinner, or when there’s a group of you keen to hunker down and eat some solid Asian food. We like the Korean wings and lamb ribs, but if you skip the bo ssam-style short rib, you did it wrong.

Dum Biryani is a Indian restaurant in a Soho basement. It’s actually a lot more fun than it sounds, and besides the biryani don’t miss the starters.
Peruvian restaurant Ceviche is one of the best restaurants in Soho for a casual dinner with friends, and a couple of pisco sours.
Bob Bob Ricard
Bob Bob Ricard is an excellent place to drink champagne and people watch. The French/Russian food is good, and the room is over the top lush.

Bone Daddies brought hipster ramen to London, and for that we’re forever grateful. Hit it for an excellent bowl of noodles, and don’t skip the sides.
Just off of Oxford Street, this spot is just as perfect for an affordable group meal as it is for a solo bowl of udon.
Abeno is a lovely Japanese spot in Bloomsbury specialising in okonomiyaki, but it’s also worth visiting for sides like the tempura, and beef karaage.
