The latest restaurant from the folks behind Salon and Levan, Larry’s is right next door to the latter in Peckham. There are couple of sandwiches on the menu and both sound like the business: meatball marinara or aubergine parmigiana.

Price: £7.50 - 8.50.

Larry’s, just like Dom’s, is a newcomer on the Christmas sandwich scene. You can picture this turkey schnitzel sandwich in teenage form, cigarette hanging from its mouth outside the school gates, talking about its cranberry umeboshi ketchup, performatively dropping a little sprout top kimchi to the floor. It doesn’t go too off the rails though. In fact, it evens out its edginess with a healthy puddle of melted cheese and a smear of mustard mayo on focaccia.

Larry’s is from the same team as Salon in Brixton and Levan in Peckham. In fact, this new bar and restaurant is right next door to its Peckham wine bar sibling. The menu reads more fun than fancy, with things like extra sloppy aubergine parmigiana, or potato latkes with fermented chilli mayo. For now it’s open evenings only from Tuesday - Saturday.
