George’s Bar is where you should be heading if you're in and around St Pancras and want a cocktail, a burger, or - if you're anything like us - both. Wander in late afternoon and you’ll probably have the place to yourself. Stick around for an hour though and it starts to fill up. They might even start pumping out Balearic beats that sound a little incongruous with the Victorian setting. And you might start wondering why we’ve sent you here. Well, it’s not for the music, Nor is it for the crowd. You’re here for some of the best made cocktails in town, and for the £15 burger - a massive affair, which is at least half sloppy joe, and is actually pretty damn good.

Barrafina Coal Drops Yard
Barrafina is London tapas royalty. And although we wouldn’t class their King’s Cross spot as legendary, there’s still good food to be had.
Granger & Co. King’s Cross
Like the others, the King’s Cross location of Granger & Co has healthy-ish salads, sandwiches, and small plates perfect for breakfast and lunch.
Supawan is an understated but excellent Thai restaurant near King’s Cross. It’s a spot you’ll come back to again and again.
