Pick Me Up in Lakeview is the restaurant equivalent of your most broken-in pair of shoes: a comfortable, casual all-purpose neighborhood spot. It’s been around since 1997, and the whole menu is built around meatless and dairy-free options. There’s a ton of milkshakes, a long breakfast menu, and things like wraps, “pizzadillas,” and nachos. Beers and shots are also available, but they’re not the main focus here - you’ll usually find people doing work on laptops during the day, then hanging out afterward over diner food.
