Dear Margaret is a new French-Canadian restaurant in Lakeview. The menu has dishes like braised beef shank for two (complete with a bone that has perfectly rendered marrow), braised cauliflower with arugula and pearl onions, and Nanaimo bars, which have a base of graham cracker, coconut, and walnut, and are topped with chocolate, icing, and creme fraiche. Right now, Dear Margaret is only open for takeout and delivery. But thanks to careful carryout packaging (and the great food) it’s one of the best special occasion-worthy new spots we've tried.
