Google tells us that a trotter is a part of a pig, so it makes sense that this spot on the Cambridge-Somerville border is a great option for grilled meats. The spiced half chicken and swordfish are outstanding, but you’ll be fine with anything that’s been cooked near the fire. The vegetable dishes are well done, too, making this a great, casual spot to hang with friends or bring kids if you have them.
The Kirkland Tap & Trotter is permanently closed.
