The Best Restaurants In The South End
The South End has more great restaurants than any other neighborhood in Boston, and these are the very best of them.
On the corner of Mass Ave. and Tremont, Mida is a reliably good Italian spot that can usually accommodate walk-ins. The $40 tasting menu (with $28 wine pairings) is a great deal considering you might get things like rohan duck breast with squash espuma (that’s a fancy word for foam) or broccoli rabe bolognese. It’s also a fun spot with a lively bar, so come here for a casual meal that’s better than a lot of places that might require reservations.
