If you're a restaurant and you put the word “burger” in your name, then you better actually make a good burger. A&B on Causeway Street does in fact make a very good burger, several of them, actually. You can expect a lot of more high-end ingredients than you get at a typical burger joint, like burrata, fig jam, and apples. The beef blend is excellent: juicy and perfectly cooked. Everything else on the menu is pretty standard bar food, though, and the atmosphere is a little sterile. Keep it in mind for when you’re heading to the Garden and want some decent food in addition to the normal pre-game beers.

The Plough and Stars
The Plough And Stars is a small, comfortable pub with live music, burgers, and a literary pedigree in Central Square.
Trillium is a brewery in the Seaport. The line out the door will be full of people coming for the beer, but the food is actually really good, too.

Mr. Bartley's Burger Cottage
Bartley's is a casual Harvard Square spot where you can eat a good burger in the same seat Al Pacino once sat in (and maybe also had a good burger).
